In 2018 Tony Gwynne advertised for band members for his originals band now called Idle Skies. 6 people showed up on various instruments. The new band members asked Tony to play some of his songs live to the band. One band member said one of Tony's songs reminded him of Lindsey Buckingham's music, another player said Tony's voice sounded like Kieth Urban and James Taylor.
Tony was flattered, but thought nothing further about it, until about a year later he heard Carolina In My Mind for the first time and was blown away by how beautiful the song was. "I must have listened to that song 30 times in a row, I was mesmerised", Tony remembers.
During lockdown Tony downloaded around six James Taylor tabs and set about learning them. Over the years he's added and added to the set and now has around 20 JT covers.
Tony's now doing shows in and around Devon and Cornwall in the UK.
